Latest Publications

Prolonged smoldering douglas fir smoke augments respiratory resistances, stiffens the aorta, and curbs ejection fraction in hypercholesterolemic mice.

Recently our work was published in Science of the Total Environment. This publication was a true collaboration between the Oakes and Bellini labs and highlights our initial work on wildland fire smoke exposure in a pre-clinical model. Congrats to Matt and Jackie, the graduate students that co-lead this important project.
